Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, God Save the Queen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robert Bolden!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Queen will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Bolden avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
The fight stays on the outside here - Queen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Queen misses with a lunging right hand
and Bolden counters with a series of strikes. Queen will be more careful next time no doubt.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Queen, right into the meat.
Bolden closes the distance and clinches up with Queen, looking for a takedown. Bolden pushes Queen against the cage but Queen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Queen attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Bolden looks to land a left hand but Queen moved out of range nicely.
Queen misses the shot to the body.
Queen thuds his shin into the meat of Bolden's side.
Queen lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bolden's sensitive parts.

Queen throws the kick towards the body but Bolden avoids it.
Bolden moves out of range as Queen throws a body kick.
Bolden stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Queen.

Queen gets a clinch.
Queen tries to work over Bolden's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Bolden is trying to break the clinch but Queen has him pressed against the cage.

Queen has Bolden pressed against the cage, preventing Bolden from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Bolden breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Queen scores with a leg kick.
Queen throws a nice outside leg kick.
Bolden bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Queen's head.
Queen throws a hook but Bolden blocks it.
Nice uppercut lands for Bolden. That snapped Queen's head back.
Bolden stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Bolden bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Bolden throws a looping overhand right but Queen ducks down to avoid it.
Bolden misses with a hook. Queen ducked under it nicely.
Bolden takes a swing at Queen's ribcage but misses.
Queen connects with an inside leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bolden shoots for a takedown but Queen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Queen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bolden, pushing him back against the cage.
Queen lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bolden backwards.


It looks like Robert Bolden has been cut.
Queen cracks Bolden with a nice body shot.
Queen tries to work over Bolden's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Queen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bolden's efforts to push away.
Queen misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Queen tries a body shot but Bolden blocks it.
Bolden can't break the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bolden wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Queen.

Bolden works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Queen controls Bolden momentarily but Bolden frees himself.
Bolden pushing down on Queen's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Queen is trying to stand up here but Bolden is controlling him well.

Bolden is keen to just control but Queen is a slippery customer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bolden passes Queen's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bolden is looking to advance position but Queen won't allow it.
Bolden throwing shots but Queen is blocking nicely.
Bolden is pressing down on Queen's thigh, looking to free his foot. Queen is holding on for now.
Queen is holding on to half guard well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Queen is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that God Save the Queen will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Robert Bolden's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


A solid body kick from Queen.
Queen lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bolden swats away the attempt to clinch by Queen.
Queen throws a shot from downtown. Bolden moves away and avoids it.
Queen throws a leg kick but Bolden moved away.
Bolden misses the jab.
Queen throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
That kick from Queen tenderised Bolden's leg. Bolden is trying to keep his angry face on.
Bolden avoids the body shot from Queen.
Bolden bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Queen's head.
Queen lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Bolden drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Queen is looking for a sweep.
Bolden advances to mount.
Bolden looking to control but Queen is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bolden pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Queen is working to get back to half guard.
Bolden cracks Queen with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Queen is squirming around, avoiding Bolden's attempts to control the action.
Bolden throwing strikes here but Queen is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Queen wants to get back to his feet.
Bolden has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
A nice elbow there by Bolden.
Bolden thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Bolden lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Bolden tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Bolden throws some wild stikes that Queen manages to avoid easily.
Robert Bolden has got the better of the ground game so far.
Poor strikes thrown by Bolden there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Bolden can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Queen is looking to escape.

Bolden swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Queen is now in Bolden's guard. A big mistake from Bolden there, giving up the dominant position!
Bolden not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Queen wants to control from the top but Bolden keeps moving.
Bolden manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Bolden postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Queen looks a forlorn figure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Queen is trying desperately to improve position.
Bolden looking to ground and pound but Queen is blocking nicely.
Queen trying desperately to get to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Queen wants to hold on but Bolden pushes him away.

Queen is looking to control Bolden's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Queen avoid being mounted?

Robert Bolden showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Bolden takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Queen is looking to chop away at Bolden's legs.
Queen swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Queen cracks the inside of Bolden's front leg.
Queen scores with a punch to the head.
Bolden's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Bolden lands with a shot to the body.
Queen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bolden finds it's way round the side to connect with Queen's head.
Queen connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bolden's hands.

Bolden fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Queen to the ground. Bolden is now in Queen's guard.

Bolden keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Bolden might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Bolden drops his hands momentarily and Queen takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Bolden shoots for a double leg takedown but Queen sprawls well. He's pushed Bolden's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Good leg kick by Queen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Queen lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

God Save the Queen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bolden chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Queen can pounce on him.

Queen throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Queen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bolden's head backwards.
Queen tries to score with a low kick but Bolden moves his leg out of the way.
Queen is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bolden.

Bolden throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Queen attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Queen takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Queen lands a head kick. Bolden smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Bolden loads up on a big right hand but Queen slips the punch.

Bolden lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bolden darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Queen.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

God Save the Queen showed his dominance in that final round.
