Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eric Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castle comes to the cage accompanied by 12 Stones - Bulletproof. The crowd seem to be enjoying Myers's choice of entrance music: Halloween Theme. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Castle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Myers! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castle tries to land a leg kick but Myers saw it coming and moves away.
Sloppy strikes from Myers. Those never looked like landing. Castle misses with a low kick. Castle pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Castle throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Myers was covering up waiting for the punch and Castle finishes the takedown easily into guard. Castle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Myers is keeping the position for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Castle throws a lazy right hand but Myers sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Myers lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Myers.
It looks like Eric Castle has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Castle misses with a leg kick. Myers throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Castle takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Castle shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Myers napping and manages to drive through into side control! Castle is looking to take a break and control but Myers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Castle connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Myers some visible discomfort.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Myers is not content to let Castle control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Myers wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Castle working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

A frustrated look appears on Castle's face as he tries to break the clinch. Myers lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Castle backwards. Castle tries to break the clinch but Myers is controlling the position. Castle wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Myers has him pressed against the cage. Myers crunches a lovely knee into Castle's ribcage. Myers misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Castle.

We're back to striking at a distance. Myers tries to bum rush Castle with a series of wild strikes but Castle uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castle takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. A punch combination from Myers misses. Castle throws a looping overhand right but Myers ducks down to avoid it. Castle scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Castle fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Myers throws a right hand that Castle ducks under and follows up with a left that Castle also avoids with ease. Castle tries to bum rush Myers with a series of wild strikes but Myers uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Castle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Myers tries to avoid it but Castle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Myers to the ground. Myers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Castle. That's going to take a lot out of him. Myers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Castle circles away quickly and effectively. Castle throws a leg kick and Myers counters with a series of strikes. Castle will be more careful next time no doubt. Myers is looking to clinch but Castle is avoiding it.

Myers looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Myers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Castle paws at him with a jab and circles away. The fighters circling - Castle throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Myers looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Myers throws a head kick but Castle moves out of range.

Castle drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Castle tries to free his leg and advance position but Myers is retaining full guard.

He's now in the guard on the top. Myers would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Castle trying to keep a closed guard but Myers is proving a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Myers is posturing up here but Castle has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Myers tries to roll out but it's too tight and Myers has to tap! Slick submission there by Castle!

Eric Castle decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
