Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamer feints and as Gracie raises his hands in defense, Tamer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Tamer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tamer has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.
Gracie is looking for a triangle here but Tamer uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tamer tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Tamer is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gracie is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Tamer is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie tries to improve position but can't.

Gracie should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Tamer uses his free foot to push down on Gracie's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gracie.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tamer wants to finish this one by submission but Gracie is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Tamer.

Tamer jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gracie manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Gracie slips a straight right by Tamer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tamer is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gracie can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Tamer is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Tamer extends the arm and Gracie is forced to tap!
