Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Gardner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Reis's choice of entrance music: Kryptonite. Vladimir Reis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reis checks the leg kick. Gardner gets a takedown into half guard. Reis is refusing to be controlled, as Gardner sits in half guard. Reis is trying to get back to full guard. Gardner lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Gardner trying to control the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reis looking for submissions off his back. Reis is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gardner pulls his head out easily. Gardner controlling the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gardner is looking to pass Reis's guard but actually Reis recovers to full guard. Gardner gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Gardner throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Reis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Nice takedown defense from Reis. No joy for Gardner on that attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gardner fails with a takedown attempt. Gardner takes a swing at Reis's ribcage but misses. Gardner moves into range and clinches up with Reis. Reis looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Gardner taking a breather. Gardner has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Reis uses from the top position. Gardner keeping moving, preventing Reis from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reis is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Gardner is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Reis is controlling him. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Reis sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Vladimir Reis. Gardner decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Gardner is breathing heavily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Reis throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Gardner goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Gardner fails to land with a series of punches.
Reis leaves Gardner with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Gardner looks for a takedown but Reis sprawls well. Reis throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Chris Gardner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Reis slips a jab and a cross from Gardner.
Reis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gardner sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Reis misses with a takedown attempt and Gardner counters with a takedown into side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Reis is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gardner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reis keeps working. Reis is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gardner pulls his head out easily. Gardner is thwarting Reis's attempts to control the position. Reis looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Gardner misses with a head shot. Reis uses the momentum to regain guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reis throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gardner wants to get up but he can't break Reis's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vladimir Reis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Reis gets tackled into the cage by Gardner. Gardner maintains the clinch. Gardner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gardner scores a takedown into full mount! Gardner trying to control but Reis is having none of it. Reis is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Gardner looking to ground and pound but Reis is blocking nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reis wants to hold on but Gardner pushes him away. Reis working to try and regain half guard.
Gardner tries to control but Reis wriggling away. Reis slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Gardner stalling.
We're going to have a standup here because Chris Gardner wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. No luck for Gardner with that takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Gardner. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Reis closes the distance and clinches up with Gardner, looking for a takedown. Reis pushes Gardner against the cage but Gardner circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nice sprawl there from Reis as Gardner shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Gardner. That's going to take a lot out of him. Reis dives in and grabs Gardner's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gardner pushes down on Reis's head and hops out. Gardner tries to clinch there but Reis circles away.
Gardner scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Reis looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Gardner!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reis get's back to his feet. Gardner misses with a wild body shot. Reis shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gardner is trying to defend but Reis finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Reis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Still in half guard, Reis seems content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reis works his way into full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gardner tries to hold on but Reis postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Vladimir Reis. I think Reis has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
