Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Primo Carnera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carnera has chosen DMX - one more road to cross as his entrance music. Mark Kelly has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Kelly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Primo Carnera!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carnera rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kelly moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Carnera counters with a takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like Mark Kelly has been cut.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Carnera closes the distance and clinches up with Kelly, looking for a takedown. Carnera pushes Kelly against the cage but Kelly circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kelly seems to have got his legs back now.
Carnera slips a jab from Kelly.
Carnera misses with a wild combination.
Kelly throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Carnera closes the distance and clinches.

Carnera breaks the clinch.
Carnera shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kelly is looking to break free of the clinch but Carnera has double underhooks.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Carnera gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kelly regains guard.
Carnera postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Carnera wants to pass the guard but Kelly is keeping the position.
Carnera won't allow Kelly to get back to his feet.
Carnera throws an elbow that misses. Kelly uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Carnera's guard. Nice move by Kelly!
Carnera has Kelly pulled in close to control his posture.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Primo Carnera has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Kelly thows a left - swing and a miss!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Primo Carnera dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Carnera throws a solid leg kick but Kelly takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Carnera.
Kelly throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Mark Kelly is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kelly will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kelly displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Carnera throws out the jab.
Carnera swings for the body but Kelly moves out of range.

and Carnera counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


Jeez, Mark Kelly's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Carnera lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kelly circles away quickly and effectively.
Kelly lands a nice looking body shot.
Kelly just misses with a punch to the body.

Carnera throws a good cross that connects.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mark Kelly's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Primo Carnera!
Primo Carnera decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
