Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Vasconcellos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Cezar De Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying De Lima's choice of entrance music: DosCe- Urban Mafia. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Lima drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and De Lima jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

De Lima drops back looking for a leg! Vasconcellos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vasconcellos manages to kick De Lima off! De Lima jumps back into Vasconcellos's guard.
Vasconcellos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

De Lima has gone for a leg lock! Vasconcellos slips out almost immediately though and dives into De Lima's guard.

Vasconcellos closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming De Lima to the mat! De Lima manages to get full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

De Lima drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vasconcellos looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vasconcellos looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vasconcellos!
Fernando Vasconcellos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
De Lima is breathing heavily.

Vasconcellos stands up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Vasconcellos rushes De Lima and presses him up against the cage.

A close second round but Julio Cezar De Lima will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Vasconcellos turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Vasconcellos manages to end up in side control.

De Lima is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Vasconcellos is defending well though. De Lima let's go of the attempt for now.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vasconcellos wants to control his opponent's hands but De Lima gets his hands free.

De Lima is cranking Vasconcellos's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Vasconcellos! He's tightened the choke and Vasconcellos is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Julio Cezar De Lima!
