Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Volodin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Vasconcellos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Viktor Volodin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fernando Vasconcellos! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vasconcellos closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Volodin looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Vasconcellos is taking a breather. Volodin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Volodin is in trouble now - Vasconcellos has advanced to mount! Vasconcellos content just to control the position here. Volodin is working to get back to half guard.
Vasconcellos controlling from the full mount. Volodin reaches up to try and control the position but Vasconcellos seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Volodin rolls and tries to escape and now Vasconcellos has his back!
Vasconcellos gets his hands free as Volodin looks to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasconcellos scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Volodin is looking for a way out. Good control from Vasconcellos. Volodin trying to control the position but Vasconcellos manages to sink in the hooks. Vasconcellos controls the position. It looks like Vasconcellos might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Fernando Vasconcellos has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Vasconcellos misses with a series of wild punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Volodin gets caught flat footed, as Vasconcellos shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vasconcellos controls from within his opponent's guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Vasconcellos is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Volodin working for a triangle but Vasconcellos defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Volodin keeping full guard, as Vasconcellos tries to pass. Vasconcellos is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Vasconcellos stands and steps away. Volodin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Vasconcellos fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Volodin sprawls well initially but Vasconcellos persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Vasconcellos slows the pace down in half guard. Volodin wants to control but Vasconcellos is keeping busy and won't allow it. Vasconcellos looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vasconcellos is thwarting Volodin's attempts to control the position. Vasconcellos keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Fernando Vasconcellos was stalling too much, according to the referee. Vasconcellos darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Vasconcellos working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Volodin looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Vasconcellos wants to work for an arm triangle but Volodin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Volodin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vasconcellos is working away from the top position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vasconcellos rushes Volodin and presses him up against the cage. Vasconcellos connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Viktor Volodin has been cut. Volodin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Vasconcellos gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Vasconcellos is working Volodin over against the cage. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Vasconcellos creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Volodin is rocked! Vasconcellos has Volodin pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Vasconcellos pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Volodin tumbling to the mat - Vasconcellos dives into Volodin's guard. Oh Volodin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Vasconcellos lands a couple of elbows. Vasconcellos loads up on a big left hand. Volodin felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Vasconcellos looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Volodin can't hide his disappointment, as Vasconcellos celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fernando Vasconcellos!
