Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fjodor Fedja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quick comes to the cage accompanied by Indestructible, by Disturbed. Fedja is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Sex Pistols - Anarchy in the UK . This should be fireworks!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, Fjodor Fedja!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedja misses the shot to the body.
Quick looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fedja is fending him off so far but Quick persists. Nope, Fedja circles away and we're back to standing.
Fedja misses with an uppercut

and Quick counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fedja!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Quick wants to control the pace but Fedja is squirming around nicely.
Fedja is trying to escape the mount.
Quick is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fedja can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fedja tries to hold on but Quick pushes him away.

Quick has hold of Fedja's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Fedja manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Quick jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Fedja is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Fedja and Quick has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Quick is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fedja is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Fedja takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Quick stands up.

Quick fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fedja, pushing him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Fedja wants the takedown. Quick is fighting it off but Fedja persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Quick's guard against the cage.

Fedja decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Quick will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Fedja gets tackled into the cage by Quick. Quick maintains the clinch.
Fedja wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Quick has him pressed against the cage.

Fedja throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Quick forces Fedja back against the cage and clinches.
Fedja has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Quick is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Fedja pulls guard.
Fedja looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Fedja keeping moving, preventing Quick from controlling successfully.

Fedja escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Quick gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Quick decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Fedja lands a jab to the nose.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fedja on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Quick feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Quick is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fedja defends it well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close second round but I would say that Nick Quick will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
