Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ray Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Machine might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Stupid KId. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Ray Machine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Luke Woods!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Machine counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Woods shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Machine defends it nicely.
Nice body punch from Machine.

Machine forces Woods back against the cage and clinches.
Machine gets underhooks to prevent Woods's takedown attempt.
Ray Machine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Woods.

Machine works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Woods keeping full guard, as Machine tries to pass.
Machine engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Machine trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Woods trying to control the position.
Woods looking for a sweep. Not yet Woods, not yet.

Woods working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Machine doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Machine manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Woods is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Machine defends well.
Machine pushing down on Woods's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Woods trying to hold on to Machine's head to control him but Machine postures up.
Woods manages to get to full guard.
Machine is working Woods over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Machine looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Woods is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Machine is aware though and is defending well.
Woods preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Machine wants to control from the top but Woods keeps moving.

Woods working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Machine doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Machine manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Woods utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Machine drops back looking for a leg! Woods is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Woods manages to kick Machine off! Machine jumps back into Woods's guard.
Woods controls Machine momentarily but Machine frees himself.
Machine stands and throws Woods's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Woods is trying to control Machine's posture but Machine avoids it.
Machine is working Woods over with some ground and pound from side control.
Woods gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Woods wants to improve his position but Machine is controlling well.
Woods gets back to full guard.

Woods has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Machine can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Woods keeping moving, preventing Machine from controlling successfully.

Woods is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Machine defends well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Machine is pushing down on Woods's leg trying to pass to half guard. Woods is fighting to maintain full guard but Machine has managed to sneak the leg through.
Woods trying to control but Machine postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ray Machine will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Machine pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Machine gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Machine has Woods pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Machine pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Woods tumbling to the mat - Machine dives into Woods's guard.
Machine with a flurry of punches that miss.

Woods looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Machine passes into half guard.
Machine trying to control from half guard but Woods is working away.
Woods trying to control here.
Machine keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Woods looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Machine sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Woods defending well though.
Machine wants to pass to mount but Woods is defending the position.
Woods avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Machine.
Machine trying to control the action but Woods is working from the bottom.
Machine is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Woods in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Woods tries to hold on but Machine postures up.
Machine sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Woods is trying to escape the mount.

Machine working for a submission but Woods is keeping him at bay.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Machine scoring with strikes but Woods is staying in there.
Woods tries to improve his position but instead Machine has taken his back!
Machine has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Machine is hanging on to Woods's back as he tries to escape.
Woods is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Machine has good solid back control here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Woods's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Woods defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Machine's arms.
Woods can't escape the position.

Machine working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Woods is doing well to defend. Machine seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Woods is forced to tap and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ray Machine!
