The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Gasano.
Carter looks to land a combination. Gasano sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like George Gasano has been cut.
A solid leg kick lands there for Gasano.
Gasano looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Nice straight punches there by Carter. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Carter.
Carter scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Carter blocks a head kick by Gasano.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carter throws a low kick, looking for Gasano's leg but Gasano calmly moves out of range.
Carter connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gasano momentarily.
Gasano takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Carter scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Gasano pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Gasano falls off balance throwing a combination
and Carter counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Carter works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Gasano throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Carter fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gasano on the side of the head.
Carter looks to land a body kick but Gasano moved away.

Gasano throws a nice looking combination but Carter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gasano takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Carter connects with a body shot.
Carter lands a nice shot to the body.
Gasano thows a body shot but no joy.
Rubin Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Carter counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Carter moves into range and connects with a jab.

Carter scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Gasano takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Carter is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Carter uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Carter is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Carter Rushes Gasano and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Gasano is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Carter Piles on the pressure and Gasano crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
