Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darius Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Rojeo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Rojeo! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexander shoots in and drives through. Rojeo sprawls well. Alexander throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Alexander gets tackled into the cage by Rojeo. Rojeo maintains the clinch. Alexander working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Rojeo has had enough of the clinch but Alexander keeps him there for the moment. Rojeo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Alexander.
Alexander breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rojeo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rojeo is defended easily by Alexander. Alexander fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rojeo wants to clinch and Alexander counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Alexander fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rojeo avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darius Alexander. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Alexander shoots in looking for a takedown but Rojeo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Alexander's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rojeo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Alexander shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rojeo but Rojeo pushes him off and we're back to square one. Alexander connects with a body shot that sends Rojeo's belly button to the back. Alexander shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rojeo but Rojeo pushes him off and we're back to square one. Rojeo fails with a takedown attempt. Alexander misses with the combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alexander stuffs the takedown. Rojeo tries to clinch but fails miserably and Alexander counters with a three punch combo that has Rojeo backing up. Rojeo nods at Alexander to acknowledge the strikes. Rojeo shoots in but no luck this time. Alexander throws a nice looking combination but Rojeo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Alexander tries to clinch up but Rojeo circles away and keeps his distance. Alexander changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rojeo tries to avoid it but Alexander manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rojeo to the ground. Rojeo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Alexander is breathing heavily. No luck for Alexander with that takedown attempt. Rojeo dives in and grabs Alexander's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alexander pushes down on Rojeo's head and hops out. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rojeo closes the distance looking to clinch and Alexander counters with an inside leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rojeo wants to clinch. Rojeo feints and as Alexander raises his hands in defense, Rojeo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Rojeo wants to control from the top but Alexander keeps moving. Alexander is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Alexander keeping moving, preventing Rojeo from controlling successfully. Alexander is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rojeo throws a strike but Alexander rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Rojeo throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Alexander escapes and throws Rojeo's legs to the side, diving into side control! Alexander stands up and we're back to a striking position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Alexander checks a leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rojeo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Alexander sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Rojeo throws a leg kick that misses. Rojeo fails in his attempt to clinch. Horrible takedown by Alexander or perhaps it was just good defense by Rojeo which made him look bad. Alexander shoots for a takedown but Rojeo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Rojeo closes the distance but Alexander moves to the side and Alexander makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Rojeo really felt that one! Alexander fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darius Alexander. That's going to take a lot out of him. Alexander fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Alexander misses with a head kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rojeo tries to clinch there but Alexander circles away.
Darius Alexander is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Alexander fails with the takedown. Rojeo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Alexander shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rojeo pinned against the cage. Rojeo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Darius Alexander is winning the standup battle so far. Rojeo dives in and grabs Alexander's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alexander pushes down on Rojeo's head and hops out. Rojeo lands a slapping body shot.
Rojeo feints and then cracks Alexander's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Alexander down. Rojeo fails with a takedown attempt. Alexander slaps away a takedown attempt from Rojeo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rojeo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Rojeo is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Alexander tries to pull guard but Rojeo won't allow it.
Rojeo is trying to force a seperation but Alexander has the dominant position. Alexander gets control of Rojeo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Alexander will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Rojeo tries to free his leg and advance position but Alexander is retaining full guard. Rojeo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rojeo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alexander has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rojeo has managed to get both his arms back between Alexander's legs - danger averted. Rojeo wants to pass the guard but Alexander is keeping the position. Alexander working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rojeo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rojeo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rojeo decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Alexander shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Alexander. Diego Rojeo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Alexander jumps guard and drags Rojeo to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Alexander keeping moving, preventing Rojeo from controlling successfully. That's one minute gone in the round. Alexander wants to sweep here but Rojeo controlling him for the moment. Alexander pulls Rojeo in close to prevent any damage. Rojeo trying to control the position from guard on top but Alexander is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rojeo looking to sit in guard and control but Alexander gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rojeo is trying to control the position but Alexander postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Diego Rojeo. Alexander fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darius Alexander. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sloppy strikes from Rojeo. Those never looked like landing. Rojeo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alexander gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Alexander gets back to full guard.
Alexander bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rojeo's guard. Rojeo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Alexander controls the pace. Alexander stands up from Rojeo's guard - Alexander perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alexander scores with a one two! Rojeo had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Alexander shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rojeo defends it nicely. Rojeo is looking to clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rojeo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alexander paws at him with a jab and circles away.
And that's the end of the fight! Darius Alexander showed his dominance in that final round. I think Alexander has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
