PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mickey O Neil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Dorsal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dorsal is trying hard to land a takedown here. O Neil sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. O Neil falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dorsal counters with a nice double leg into side control. O Neil won't be happy with that. Dorsal sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but O Neil is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Dorsal controls the position from side control. Dorsal is working to tighten is grip on O Neil's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. O Neil has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Dorsal is really squeezing tight and eventually O Neil passes out! Dorsal breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Gary Dorsal!
