Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Horatius Cocles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Cocles shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard.
Silva wants to stand up but Cocles is controlling him.
Cocles is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cocles knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.

Horatius Cocles has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Cocles feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Cocles seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Silva for as long as he can get away with.

You can see the frustration on Silva's face as Cocles controls the position.
Cocles has knee on belly momentarily but Silva bucks him off and regains half guard.

Cocles has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Silva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cocles looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Cocles tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Horatius Cocles.
