Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Fishinghawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyson Fishinghawk could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jesse Carver's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyson Fishinghawk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jesse Carver!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Carver as Fishinghawk shoots in.

Carver pushes Fishinghawk up against the cage in a clinch.

Carver's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fishinghawk lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carver circles away quickly and effectively.
Carver shoots for a double leg takedown but Fishinghawk sprawls well. He's pushed Carver's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fishinghawk shoots in but Carver avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Fishinghawk shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carver as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Fishinghawk. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fishinghawk trying to control the position from guard on top but Carver is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Carver had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fishinghawk defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Fishinghawk got a little sloppy there for a moment and Carver has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fishinghawk has managed to get both his arms back between Carver's legs - danger averted.
Carver wants to stand but Fishinghawk is controlling the position.

Carver looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Fishinghawk trying to control the position from guard on top but Carver is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fishinghawk working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Carver's head.

Carver is pulling down on Fishinghawk's head to control his posture.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fishinghawk is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.

Carver wants to sweep but no luck.
Fishinghawk wants to control from the top but Carver keeps moving.
Carver has his hands on Fishinghawk's head, controlling the position.
Fishinghawk will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Fishinghawk fails with the takedown

and Carver counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Carver.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fishinghawk taking a breather.
Fishinghawk is breathing heavily.

Carver gets control of Fishinghawk's arms and successfully pulls guard. Carver will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Carver pulls Fishinghawk in close to prevent any damage.

Carver had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fishinghawk defends it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fishinghawk would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jesse Carver dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Carver shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Fishinghawk knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carver on the ground.

Carver slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Fishinghawk tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Carver is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Fishinghawk will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Carver should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Fishinghawk tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Carver presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Carver cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!


It looks like Tyson Fishinghawk has been cut.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fishinghawk working to try and regain half guard.
Carver controlling the pace for now.
Carver's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fishinghawk is trying to stand.
Carver landing strikes from the mount.
Carver looking to control and managing it successfully.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fishinghawk is trying to escape the mount but Carver keeps good control and instead manages to take Fishinghawk's back.

Carver has good solid back control here.

Carver has managed to slip his arm under Fishinghawk's chin. This could be all over... yep, Fishinghawk is tapping out! Submission win for Carver.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jesse Carver!
After winning the bout, Jesse Carver thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
