And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
HunterReay misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Petrov swings away with a leg kick that misses.
HunterReay walks into a stiff left hand from Petrov.
It looks like Ryan HunterReay has been cut.
HunterReay is looking to clinch.
Petrov with a body punch. A glancing blow.
HunterReay looks gassed!
Petrov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. HunterReay sprawls well initially but Petrov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Petrov not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Petrov working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Petrov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as HunterReay is looking to escape.

Petrov sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if HunterReay can do anything to dispel that myth.
