Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Billy Goat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goat comes to the cage accompanied by Impaled Nazarene - Cult of the Goat. Patton has chosen Marilyn Manson - Born Villain as his entrance music. Michael Patton will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Billy Goat! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michael Patton! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Goat looks for a takedown but Patton sprawls well. Goat throws a nice outside leg kick. Patton avoids the body shot from Goat.
Goat throws a right and a left that both miss. Patton throws a nice outside leg kick. Goat throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Patton bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Goat's head. Billy Goat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Patton throws a head kick but Goat moves out of range.

Goat connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Patton throws a hook but Goat avoids it easily. Goat throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Patton cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Billy Goat has been cut. Goat misses with a takedown attempt - Patton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Patton looks to throw the jab but Goat is out of range. Goat throws a leg kick that misses. Patton tries to land a front kick but Goat steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Goat thows a body shot but no joy. Goat walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Goat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Goat. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goat lands the left hand. Goat looks to land a combination but Patton avoids it well. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Goat lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Patton has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Patton and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Goat throws a sloppy head kick enabling Patton to counter with a crisp jab. Goat fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Patton avoids it really well and circles away. Patton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Goat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Patton misses with a hook. Goat ducked under it nicely. Patton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. That kick from Goat tenderised Patton's leg. Patton is trying to keep his angry face on. Goat comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Goat walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Goat throws a head kick that misses. A jab from Patton does it's job there. A big left from Goat misses. Patton misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Patton misses with an uppercut. Goat saw that one coming. Patton misses with a looping right. Patton changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Goat misses with a hook to the body
and Patton counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Goat takes one to the side of the head.
Patton scores with a jab to the body. Patton fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Patton is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Goat defending well as Patton loads up on a big left hand. Patton listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Goat tries to clinch and Patton counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Goat throws out a leg kick but Patton moves out of range and Goat only half commits. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sloppy strikes from Patton. Those never looked like landing. Patton throws a head kick but Goat moves out of range.

Billy Goat's cut is getting worse. Patton has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. A head kick misses from Patton. Goat just misses with a punch to the body.
Patton goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. A low kick from Patton is predictable there and Goat counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Patton lands with a hook. Goat tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Good shot there by Patton. Patton throws a hook but Goat avoids it easily. That kick from Goat tenderised Patton's leg. Patton is trying to keep his angry face on. Patton throws a looping overhand right but Goat ducks down to avoid it. Goat throws a right hand that misses
and Patton cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Goat misses with a body shot.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Goat. Patton shrugs it off though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goat fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Patton sprawls well initially but Goat persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Patton blocking the ground and pound attempt from Goat. Goat wants to free his trapped foot but Patton is holding on for dear life with his legs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Patton avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Goat. Goat lands with a punch from half guard. Goat is thwarting Patton's attempts to control the position. Patton is not content to let Goat control the position. Goat prevents Patton from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goat seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Patton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Patton pushes Goat off looking to stand but Goat dives back in and keeps control.
Goat controlling the action here. Goat throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Patton tries to roll over but Goat keeps him under control. Goat wants to pass to mount but Patton is defending the position. Goat prevents Patton from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Goat is trying hard to land a takedown here. Patton sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Patton misses with a looping left. Goat connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Goat feints and then cracks Patton's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Patton down. Goat needs to keep his hands up - Patton had a free shot at his head there. Goat moves into the clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Patton lands a shoulder strike.
Billy Goat's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Goat jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Patton walks away with a smile on his face. Goat gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Goat wants to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Michael Patton will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Billy Goat's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Patton connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Decent striking displayed by Goat there. Michael Patton seems to be getting the better of the standup. Patton gets cracked there but stands up to it.

No luck for Goat with that takedown attempt. Goat shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Patton misses with an uppercut. Goat saw that one coming. Goat lands a nice hook to Patton's body. Patton takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Goat closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Patton did well to prevent Goat getting side control. Patton tries to roll over but Goat keeps him under control. Goat thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Patton's head. Goat seems to be looking for submissions.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Goat throws a strike but Patton avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Patton not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Patton tries to land a sweep but no joy. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Patton keeping full guard, as Goat tries to pass. Patton keeping moving, preventing Goat from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close third round but Michael Patton just about did enough to take it. The cut man is working on Billy Goat's cut. That's time! Goat's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Patton is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Goat. Nice takedown defense from Patton. No joy for Goat on that attempt. Goat is looking to wear down Patton with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Goat misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Patton takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Patton throws a head kick that misses. Goat fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Patton to the ground. Goat is now in Patton's guard. Goat loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Goat postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Goat wants to pass the guard but Patton is keeping the position. Billy Goat overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goat wants to control from the top but Patton keeps moving. Patton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Goat manages to get himself to full guard.
Patton is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Michael Patton hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Goat scores with a sloppy right hand. Patton should have avoided that one.

Patton is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Patton throws a leg kick but Goat moved away. Goat on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Goat tried to score with a low kick but Patton checks it. Patton throws a sloppy head kick and Goat moves out of range easily. Patton lands a head shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Goat displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Patton throws out the jab. Patton connects with a leg kick. Goat looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Goat fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Patton. Goat changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Patton looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Patton tries to bench press Goat off him but Goat keeps the position. Goat scores with punches from side control. Patton gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Patton wants to control but Goat is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Goat prevents Patton from improving his position. Goat throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Goat looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Billy Goat will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Billy Goat's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Goat digs a good body shot into Patton's ribs. Goat buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Patton looks to throw the jab but Goat is out of range. Patton thuds his shin into the meat of Goat's side. Goat misses with a double jab.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.
