Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ronny Bruvik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Mullen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruvik comes to the cage accompanied by Rånny Bruvik. Mullen has chosen Country Boy Can Survive as his entrance music. Ronny Bruvik has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronny Bruvik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Chris Mullen!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruvik throws a half hearted mid kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Mullen.

A looping hook to the body misses from Bruvik. Mullen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bruvik scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Bruvik tries to sprawl but Mullen drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Mullen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bruvik does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bruvik wants to sweep but Mullen has passed to side control!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Chris Mullen dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Mullen counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bruvik thinking.

Mullen gets to his feet - Bruvik follows without any prompting.
Mullen looks to land a left hand but Bruvik moved out of range nicely.
Mullen scores with a one two! Bruvik had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Bruvik fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mullen manages to avoid it.
Mullen throws a leg kick but Bruvik checks it.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Mullen is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Bruvik bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Chris Mullen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Mullen connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bruvik's hands.
Bruvik moves out of range of the strikes.
Bruvik slips a straight right by Mullen.

Bruvik throws a leg kick but Mullen sees it coming and checks it nicely.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mullen crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bruvik - the referee stops the clock and Mullen gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bruvik. Mullen manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Mullen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bruvik moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bruvik is looking to control Mullen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bruvik avoid being mounted?

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ronny Bruvik just wasn't active enough.
Bruvik doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Bruvik throws a push kick but Mullen slaps the foot to one side.
Mullen throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Mullen has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Both fighters circling a little - Mullen finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Mullen cracks Bruvik with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Mullen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bruvik to the mat! Bruvik manages to get full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bruvik wants to stand up but Mullen is controlling him.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Chris Mullen hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Mullen throws a body punch but Bruvik moves out of range.
Mullen lands with a shot to the body.
Bruvik is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Sloppy strikes from Mullen. Those never looked like landing.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bruvik lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mullen has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mullen and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Bruvik will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Mullen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Mullen jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bruvik walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mullen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Chris Mullen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mullen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
