Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joey Knish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lime Lister!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knish misses with a head kick.
Knish tries to bum rush Lister with a series of wild strikes but Lister uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lister cracks the inside of Knish's front leg.
Knish fails to land with a series of punches.

Lister shoots in and bounces Knish off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Knish wants to get back to his feet but Lister is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Knish pulls Lister in close to prevent any damage.
Knish wants to sweep but no luck.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Knish is looking to stand up but Lister isn't so interested in that idea.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Joey Knish wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Knish circles away from the clinch attempt
and Knish counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Knish connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Lister throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Lister gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Knish counters with a nice body kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lister avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Lister avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Lister fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lister misses with a double jab.
Knish lands with a shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Knish looks to land a combination but Lister avoids it well.
Knish checks the leg kick nicely there.
Knish avoids the body shot from Lister.
Knish defending well as Lister loads up on a big left hand.
Lime Lister seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knish throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Lister counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Knish tries a head kick but it misses.
Knish throws a leg kick
and Lister counters with a nice body shot.
Lister tries to land a front kick but Knish steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lister.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Knish scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Knish thows a body shot but no joy.
Lister uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Knish.
An inside leg kick lands from Lister.
Lister misses with a body kick.
Knish throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lister sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lister jabs Knish to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Lister throws a head kick that misses.
Lister misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Joey Knish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lime Lister.
Lister will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Knish lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The fight stays on the outside here - Lister looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lister closes the distance and clinches up with Knish, looking for a takedown. Lister pushes Knish against the cage but Knish circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Knish throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lister keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Knish.
Knish throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lister sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lister shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Knish counters with a nice body kick.
Lister looks gassed!
Lister closes the distance but Knish moves to the side
enabling Knish to counter with a crisp jab.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lister misses with an uppercut.
Lister wants to clinch up but Knish keeps it at a distance.
Lister throws the left hand but Knish avoids the punch easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joey Knish dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Lister scores with a nice head shot.
Lister tries to close the distance and clinch but Knish swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Knish leaves Lister with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lister shoots in for a takedown but Knish shows good takedown defense.
A slapping body kick lands there for Knish.
Knish misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Joey Knish is winning the standup battle so far.
Knish feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lister's calf.
Knish steps in with a hook that catches Lister right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Knish follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Lister looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joey Knish!
