Van Gogh is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Carl Orff - O Fortuna. Vincent Van Gogh is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Davola! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Vincent Van Gogh! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davola takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Van Gogh tries to move into range but Davola moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Davola looks to land a left hand but Van Gogh moved out of range nicely. Davola doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Davola throws the left hand but Van Gogh avoids the punch easily. A nice leg kick lands there from Van Gogh. Davola lands a jab to the nose. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Davola lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Davola turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Van Gogh looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Davola misses with a hook
and Van Gogh counters with a stiff right hand. Davola avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Van Gogh uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Davola. Davola tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Van Gogh is able to avoid easily. Davola scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Van Gogh doesn't seem bothered though. Davola connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Davola keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Davola is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Van Gogh. A looping hook to the body misses from Davola. Van Gogh does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davola checks a leg kick nicely. Davola misses with a hook
and Van Gogh counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Davola thinking. Van Gogh looks to land a body kick but Davola moved away. Van Gogh drops his hands momentarily and Davola takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Van Gogh just misses with a punch to the body.
Davola lands with a cross. Davola drops Van Gogh with a big left hand! Van Gogh is injured, injured bad! Davola jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Davola! Joe Davola retains his light heavyweight title! During a confident post fight interview, Joe Davola thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
