Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Furious George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stu Gotts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George comes to the cage accompanied by Lamb of God - Descending. Gotts comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Godfather Theme kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Furious George!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stu Gotts!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Gotts looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

George feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
George throws a big right hand that misses.
George is stalling in the full guard.
George trying to control but Gotts is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Furious George just wasn't active enough.

George looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
George has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
George controlling from mount.

George has hold of Gotts's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gotts manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
George thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
George takes Gotts's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Gotts is in trouble.
George lands a shot to the body.

George is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Gotts taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from George.
