PBP Commentary

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Freddy Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rony King!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
King stuffs the takedown attempt from Jackson. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet.
Jackson tries to clinch up but King circles away and keeps his distance.
Jackson fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Freddy Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
King keeps the fight on the outside.
Horrible takedown by Jackson or perhaps it was just good defense by King which made him look bad.
Jackson tries to clinch but King is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice sprawl there from King as Jackson shoots in.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jackson.
Jackson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
King tries to land a front kick but Jackson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Jackson throws a series of punches but King moves out of range.

Jackson tries to score with a low kick but King moves his leg out of the way.
King throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Jackson is breathing heavily.
King shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
King blocks a head kick by Jackson.
Jackson lands with a nice combination. King backs away looking to recover.
Jackson fails with the takedown
and King counters with an inside leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
King looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
King circles away from the clinch attempt

and King counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Jackson is pressed up against the cage. King has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jackson down to the mat. Jackson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jackson misses with a takedown

and King holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

King breaks the clinch.

King moves into the clinch successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jackson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Jackson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but King has him pressed against the cage.
King scores with an uppercut up the middle.

King lands a takedown into guard.
Jackson can't keep his opponent in guard - King advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Jackson is looking to improve his position.
King takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
King moves into full mount! Jackson won't be happy about that!
Jackson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Jackson is working hard here to advance position.
King has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
King content just to control the position here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
King avoids the attempt from Jackson to control.
Jackson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
King postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jackson looks a forlorn figure.
Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground.
King sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
King fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Jackson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King controlling his opponent.
Jackson wants to control but King is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

King is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! King extends the arm and Jackson is forced to tap!
