Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Takeshi Yuudai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ned Alonso! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from Alonso. Those never looked like landing. Alonso closes the distance looking to clinch and Yuudai cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Ned Alonso has been cut. Alonso takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Alonso swinging wildly here.
Yuudai throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Alonso misses with a wild combination.
Alonso misses with a few strikes there.
Yuudai instigates a clinch. Yuudai breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alonso is looking to clinch. Excellent takedown into side control there by Yuudai. This has been an exciting period of action! Alonso is trying to improve his position. Yuudai working the ground and pound. Alonso is trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Check out the look on Yuudai's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Alonso is pushing Yuudai's head away, looking to escape. Yuudai manages to hold on to the position though. Alonso is looking for a sweep. Yuudai working the ground and pound. Yuudai creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Yuudai looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Alonso is avoiding damage well.
Yuudai is chipping away with strikes.
Alonso is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Alonso is looking for a sweep. Yuudai has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Alonso is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Yuudai yanks on the arm and Alonso is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Yuudai.
