Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Nieddds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Earts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Bobby Nieddds has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Bobby Nieddds seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Earts!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, David Schapiro and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Nieddds.
Earts looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Nieddds throws a body punch but Earts moves out of range.
Nieddds ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Nieddds stuns Earts with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Earts keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nieddds lands a nice hook to Earts's body. Earts takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Nieddds fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Earts manages to avoid it.
Earts closes the distance and clinches up with Nieddds, looking for a takedown. Earts pushes Nieddds against the cage but Nieddds circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nieddds lands a jab to Earts's midsection.
Nieddds smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Nieddds lunges at Earts with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Earts's hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Earts closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Nieddds did well to prevent Earts getting side control.
Nieddds tries to kick Earts off but Earts keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Earts is looking to take a break and control but Nieddds is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Earts is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Nieddds is looking to improve his position.
Nieddds is controlling Earts's position as best he can from this difficult position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jim Earts hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Nieddds moves into range and connects with a jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nieddds connects with a jab.
Earts throws a sloppy head kick
and Nieddds counters with a three punch combo that has Earts backing up. Earts nods at Nieddds to acknowledge the strikes.
Nieddds scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Earts shoots for a takedown but Nieddds saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bobby Nieddds has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Earts.
Earts shoots in but no luck this time.
Nieddds is looking to wear down Earts with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Nieddds misses with a few strikes there.
Earts takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Earts goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Earts scores a takedown into full mount!
Nieddds knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Earts on the ground.
Nieddds blocking the ground and pound.
Nieddds bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nieddds slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Nieddds trying to control but Earts is working from the bottom.
Nieddds pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Earts is keeping the position for now.
Earts wants to stand and escape but Nieddds is having none of it.
Nieddds advances position into side control!
Earts wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Nieddds has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Earts will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jab, jab by Nieddds - just one landing.
Sloppy strikes from Nieddds. Those never looked like landing.
Nieddds throws a big shot that misses.
Horrible takedown by Earts or perhaps it was just good defense by Nieddds which made him look bad.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nieddds stalks Earts and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Earts's face. Earts staggers backwards, shaken.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Earts looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Earts shoots for a double leg takedown but Nieddds sprawls well. He's pushed Earts's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nieddds drops Earts with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Earts! Nieddds dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
