Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dew Rain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Connor comes into the arena with ac/dc- war machine blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Dew Rain enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scott Connor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dew Rain! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rain is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Connor's half guard. Rain lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Rain is stalling here. Connor is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Rain seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Connor has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Rain tries to buck Connor off but Connor is having none of it. Rain gets back to half guard. Connor trying to control from half guard but Rain is working away. Rain wants to control but Connor is keeping busy.
Connor trying to pass the guard but Rain defending well. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Rain looking for submissions off his back. Rain is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Connor pulls his head out easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Connor lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Connor stalling away here and it's allowed Rain to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Rain wants to get back to his feet but Connor is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Rain bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Connor's guard. Rain prevents Connor from getting back to his feet. Rain throws an elbow that misses. Connor uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rain's guard. Nice move by Connor! Rain is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Connor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rain on the ground. Rain missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rain not landing any meaningful shots this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rain sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Connor defending well though. Rain not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Connor on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Connor tries to get out of the position. Connor is looking for a sweep. Rain is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Rain lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Connor taking some punishment here, with Rain in his half guard.
It looks like Scott Connor has been cut. Rain working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Rain is looking for a kimura but Connor is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rain to get the leverage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rain scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Rain has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rain is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Connor has managed to free his arm - good work. Connor blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rain. Rain scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Rain throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rain wants to lay and pray for a moment but Connor keeps working. Ground and pound from Rain.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Connor is looking to get back to full guard here but Rain has managed to pass to side control instead. Rain in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Connor taking a bit of punishment here - Rain scoring with strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Connor takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Check out the look on Rain's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Scott Connor's cut is getting worse. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! An elbow from Rain crashes against the mat.
Rain scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Connor is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Rain can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
