Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rashad Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ontario Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans comes into the arena with Immortal Technique -Point of No Return blaring out of the sound system. Rashad Evans could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ontario Jones's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rashad Evans! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ontario Jones! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans lands with a thumping leg kick.
Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Evans. Evans closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Evans pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jones takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Evans takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Evans is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jones's half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Nice strikes from Evans there. Evans lands a big shot. Evans takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Evans working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Evans landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Evans stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Jones to get to his feet. Jones throws a series of punches but Evans avoids them all with ease. Evans shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jones manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Evans sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jones's guard. Evans sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jones defending well though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rashad Evans dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Evans decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Evans moves out of range easily. Evans shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jones falls off balance throwing a combination
and Evans counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Evans. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Evans looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evans gets to his feet. Jones looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Evans dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Evans's head and hops out. Evans fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt and Evans counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Jones is breathing heavily. Evans pushes down on Jones's leg and manages to get into half guard. Jones looks like he's trying to stand up.
Evans is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jones can do to turn this around? Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Evans looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Evans takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Evans has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Evans thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jones on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Evans decides to return to a standing position. Ontario Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Evans shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Evans looking to pass the guard. Evans passes Jones's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Jones is rocked! Evans winds up and cracks Jones with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Jones is still in real trouble! Can Evans finish him? Evans lands strikes from half guard.
