Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Bowens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maxwell Green!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Green connects with a right hand. Bowens shakes it off.

Bowens gets tackled into the ropes by Green. Green maintains the clinch.
Green wants to get back to striking at distance but Bowens won't allow it.
Green tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Bowens has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Green uses from the top position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Bowens has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We're going to have a standup here because James Bowens wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Bowens really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Green gets caught napping as Bowens dives in and scores a takedown. Green manages to retain guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Green avoids the body shot from Bowens.
Bowens shoots in looking for a takedown but Green manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bowens's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Bowens dives in and grabs Green's left leg, looking for a takedown. Green pushes down on Bowens's head and hops out.

Bowens has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That was a close second round but I would say that James Bowens will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Bowens is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

James Bowens showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bowens, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, James Bowens was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
