The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rite throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Leis avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rite tries to close the distance and clinch up but Leis swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Leis.
Leis trying to control the action but Rite is working from the bottom.

Leis fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Leis in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jesse Leis really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that BALCO UNIFORM logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
