The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Smith has managed to clinch.
Smith has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Flanagan uses from the top position.
Flanagan looking to pass the guard.
Flanagan trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Smith keeping full guard, as Flanagan tries to pass.
Smith throws his legs up looking for a submission but Flanagan uses it to pass to side control.
The strikes coming from Flanagan are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Smith can't do much from the bottom here.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flanagan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Smith is looking for a sweep.
Smith wants to get back to his feet but Flanagan is dominant here and he's now got Smith's back!

Smith prevents Flanagan from getting a body triangle.
Flanagan is working for a rear naked choke. Smith is not defending it well and Flanagan has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Smith refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Smith's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
