Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Izaak Waters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jon Holmes! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waters swings for the body but Holmes moves out of range.
Oooooh!!! Holmes has knocked Waters down with a huge combo! Holmes steps away and waves a wobbly Waters back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Waters is rocked!
It looks like Izaak Waters has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Holmes missing with a left hand there. Waters was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Waters connects with a crisp jab. Holmes waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Waters. Nice uppercut lands for Waters. That snapped Holmes's head back.
Holmes lands the left hand. Oh Waters is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Waters blocks a jab. Waters slaps away a takedown attempt from Holmes, before circling back to the center of the mat. Waters seems to have got his legs back now. Holmes misses with an uppercut. Waters saw that one coming. Holmes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Waters is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Holmes working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Holmes is looking to work some ground and pound but Waters has wrist control. Waters keeping moving, preventing Holmes from controlling successfully. Holmes is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Waters is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Waters has escaped and now he's on top! Waters wants to control from the top but Holmes keeps moving. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Holmes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. Holmes throws a strike but Waters rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holmes looking to control.
Holmes pulls Waters in close to prevent any damage. Waters trying to control the position from guard on top but Holmes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Waters stays in close to Holmes's body and controls the position. Waters missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Waters wants to control from the top but Holmes keeps moving. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Holmes bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Holmes looks up at the clock and then as Waters takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Holmes smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Waters tries to control but Holmes manages to take his back. Waters has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Holmes. Holmes not allowing Waters to control his hands. Holmes is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Waters defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Holmes wants to control but Waters manages to buck him off and is now in Holmes's guard! Nice work there by Waters! Waters won't allow Holmes to sweep him here.

Waters wants to control from the top but Holmes keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Holmes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Waters is one step ahead there. Holmes working a defensive guard but Waters manages to pass into side control anyway.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Waters tries for a kimura but Holmes is defending well. Holmes struggling a bit here. Holmes regains half guard, as Waters was trying to land strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The fighters are battling for position here. Holmes manages to regain full guard. Nice work. And that's the end of the fight! Jon Holmes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Holmes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
