Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steven Seagal! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spahn thuds a left hand into Seagal's body. Seagal fails with the takedown and Spahn counters with a left hand that sends Seagal to the canvas!
It looks like Steven Seagal has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Spahn throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Seagal works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Spahn passes Seagal's left leg - he's now in half guard. Spahn is trying to control. Seagal wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Seagal is looking for a sweep. Spahn is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Spahn sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Seagal defending well though. Seagal has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Spahn is working away from the top position though. Spahn is trying to control. Seagal wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Spahn is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Seagal is just riding it out for now. Spahn eventually gives up the hold. Spahn is trying to control the action in half guard but Seagal is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Seagal is trying to get back to full guard. Spahn seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Seagal does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Seagal wants to control the position but Spahn says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Spahn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Spahn is looking to pass Seagal's guard but actually Seagal recovers to full guard. Spahn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Spahn wants to control from the top but Seagal keeps moving. Seagal keeping full guard, as Spahn tries to pass. Spahn passes Seagal's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Seagal is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Spahn wants to free his trapped foot but Seagal is holding on for dear life with his legs. Seagal is looking to control Spahn's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Seagal avoid being mounted? Seagal avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Spahn. Spahn wants to work for an arm triangle but Seagal is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Spahn lands a nice forearm strike. Seagal tries to buck Spahn off but Spahn is having none of it. This has been an exciting period of action! Seagal takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Spahn is looking to take a break and control but Seagal is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Seagal defending against the ground and pound.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Seagal is trying to control Spahn's posture but Spahn avoids it. Spahn working the body and head with strikes. Spahn misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's seven minutes gone in the round. Seagal is trying to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spahn tries for a kimura but Seagal is defending well. Spahn remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. You can see the frustration on Seagal's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Spahn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Seagal is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Spahn throws an elbow but Seagal slips to the side and avoids it well. The strikes coming from Spahn are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Spahn wants to control but Seagal is keeping him busy. Spahn scores with a couple of short elbows. Spahn looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Seagal is avoiding damage well.
Seagal is looking to regain half guard here but Spahn keeps moving and retains side control. An elbow from Spahn crashes against the mat.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Spahn trying to control the position but Seagal is working away. Seagal is looking for a sweep. Spahn stands up. Spahn throws a body punch but Seagal moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rik Spahn dominated that round. The cut man is working on Steven Seagal's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Spahn dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Spahn finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Spahn misses the shot to the body. Spahn throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Spahn connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Seagal to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Spahn!
