Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Bulpin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timo Tamppooni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Tamppooni's choice of entrance music: Revelations. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Timo Tamppooni was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Bulpin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Timo Tamppooni! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bulpin looks for a takedown but Tamppooni sprawls well. Bulpin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bulpin shoots in for a takedown but Tamppooni shows good takedown defense. Bulpin tries for a takedown but Tamppooni sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Bulpin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bulpin fails with the takedown. Bulpin fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tamppooni stuffs the takedown attempt from Bulpin. Bulpin gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bulpin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bulpin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Bulpin looking to control but Tamppooni is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Bulpin throws some wild stikes that Tamppooni manages to avoid easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bulpin is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Tamppooni has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Tamppooni! Tamppooni wants to stand but Bulpin has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tamppooni stands and steps away. Bulpin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Bulpin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bulpin shoots for a double leg takedown but Tamppooni sprawls well. He's pushed Bulpin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bulpin is breathing heavily. Tamppooni avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bulpin shoots in looking for a takedown. Tamppooni tries to sprawl out of it but Bulpin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tamppooni manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bulpin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Bulpin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Tamppooni is trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Joe Bulpin will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Bulpin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tamppooni's waist but Tamppooni gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bulpin off to one side. Bulpin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tamppooni but Tamppooni pushes him off and we're back to square one. Excellent takedown into side control there by Bulpin. Bulpin wants to control for a moment but Tamppooni uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Bulpin wants to improve his position but Tamppooni is controlling well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tamppooni gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Bulpin looks for a takedown but Tamppooni sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Bulpin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bulpin shoots in for a takedown but Tamppooni shows good takedown defense. Joe Bulpin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bulpin shoots for a takedown but Tamppooni saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Bulpin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tamppooni circles away. Tamppooni shoots and misses and Bulpin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tamppooni's guard now. Tamppooni pushes Bulpin off and scrambles back to his feet.
Bulpin has his takedown stuffed and Tamppooni counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Bulpin regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bulpin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tamppooni is one step ahead there. Bulpin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Tamppooni won't allow Bulpin to sweep him here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bulpin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tamppooni gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Tamppooni postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Joe Bulpin will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Bulpin fails with the takedown and Tamppooni counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Bulpin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bulpin. Bulpin looking to control.
Bulpin looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Tamppooni puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Bulpin moves into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bulpin working for submissions but it's allowed Tamppooni to get to half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bulpin is looking to get back to full guard here but Tamppooni has managed to pass to side control instead. Tamppooni get's back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bulpin misses with a takedown and Tamppooni decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bulpin's guard. Bulpin working for submissions but it's allowed Tamppooni to get to half guard.
Tamppooni prevents Bulpin from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tamppooni decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Bulpin clinches but Tamppooni breaks the clinch and Tamppooni counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bulpin! Timo Tamppooni has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bulpin tries to get back to half guard but can't. Tamppooni is standing up, even though he is in mount. Bulpin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Tamppooni counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bulpin! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Bulpin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bulpin wants to hold on but Tamppooni pushes him away. Tamppooni manages to capitalize on a mistake by Bulpin to take his back! Bulpin trying to control but not successfully. Timo Tamppooni has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bulpin tries to break free.
And that's the end of the fight! Timo Tamppooni comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Bulpin has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
