Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teo Rantanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slugger Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Slugger Guy was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Teo Rantanen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Slugger Guy! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guy scores with a sloppy right hand. Rantanen should have avoided that one. Rantanen tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Rantanen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rantanen connects with a good right hand that stumbles Guy. Guy circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Rantanen throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A nice inside leg kick there by Guy. That's going to slow Rantanen down. Rantanen swings widly with a right hand
and Guy counters with a leg kick. Guy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Guy fails with an attempt to clinch.
Guy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rantanen moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Rantanen shoots for a takedown but Guy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Guy throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Rantanen shoots in but no luck this time. Rantanen swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Guy counters with a one-two to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Guy counters with a nice uppercut. Guy lands a right hook to the body.
Rantanen throws a left and a right that both miss
and Guy counters with a nice uppercut. Rantanen fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Teo Rantanen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rantanen is breathing heavily. Rantanen misses with a leg kick and Guy counters with a nice leg kick. Rantanen misses with a combination
and Guy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Guy has a takedown stuffed. Rantanen throws a lazy uppercut
and Guy counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Guy fails in his attempt to clinch. Guy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rantanen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guy doesn't manage to clinch there - Rantanen circles away.
Rantanen takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Rantanen feints and as Guy raises his hands in defense, Rantanen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Guy keeping full guard, as Rantanen tries to pass. Guy is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rantanen wants to pass the guard but Guy is keeping the position. Rantanen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rantanen slips nicely into half guard. Rantanen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Guy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rantanen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rantanen is keen to just control but Guy is a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Still in half guard, Rantanen seems content to control. Rantanen seems to be working for a kimura but Guy defends the submission attempt. Rantanen content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Rantanen escapes and gets back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Teo Rantanen will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Guy counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Rantanen throws a combination that misses and Guy counters with a left and a right that stings Rantanen. Teo Rantanen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rantanen has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Rantanen lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Rantanen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Guy but Guy pushes him off and we're back to square one. Rantanen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Guy counters with a good low kick that Rantanen was not able to check. Guy fails to land the takedown. Guy lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Guy wants to clinch up but Rantanen keeps it at a distance. Rantanen misses with an uppercut
and Rantanen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Rantanen swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Guy to counter with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rantanen misses with a body shot
and Guy counters with a good low kick that Rantanen was not able to check. Teo Rantanen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rantanen clobbers Guy with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Rantanen throws a right hand that misses
and Guy counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Rantanen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Guy as he jumps to the side. Guy digs a good hook to Rantanen's body.
Rantanen fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Teo Rantanen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Guy misses with a takedown attempt and Rantanen counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Guy's guard now. Rantanen postures up and lands a big shot to Guy's brow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rantanen pushing down on Guy's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Rantanen frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Rantanen sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rantanen trying to control but Guy is having none of it. Guy has left one of his arms exposed and Rantanen doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Guy screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
