The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathews shoots in looking for a takedown but Timonyn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mathews's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mathews.
No joy there for Timonyn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
