Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Happy Day! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Unbreakable! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Unbreakable takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Nice uppercut there from Unbreakable. A swing and a miss from Day. Day bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A low kick from Day misses letting Unbreakable counter with a right hand. Day throws a nice head kick!

Day tries to clinch up. Unbreakable throws a lazy right hand but Day sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Happy Day seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Day throws a right hand that Unbreakable ducks under and follows up with a left that Unbreakable also avoids with ease. Unbreakable lands a glancing blow to the side of Day's head. Day tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Unbreakable manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Unbreakable goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Unbreakable misses with a head kick.
Day tries to clinch but Unbreakable moves out of range. Unbreakable throws a hook but Day avoids it easily. Unbreakable closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Day quickly recovers to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Unbreakable is trying to control. Day wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Unbreakable is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Unbreakable is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Day is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Unbreakable is just content to waste time from the top position. Day takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Day keeping full guard, as Unbreakable tries to pass. Unbreakable throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Unbreakable trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Unbreakable stops Day from standing up. Unbreakable wants to control from the top but Day keeps moving. Day preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Unbreakable trying to control but Day is working from the bottom.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Jon Unbreakable hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Unbreakable misses with a hook. Day ducked under it nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Day avoids the body shot from Unbreakable.

Unbreakable shoots in but no luck this time. Unbreakable motions for Day to come forward. Unbreakable throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Day throws a sloppy head kick and Unbreakable moves out of range easily. Happy Day is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Day plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Day misses with a leg kick. Unbreakable misses with a right hand and Day counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Day tries a head kick but it misses.

and Unbreakable counters with a good low kick that Day was not able to check. Day throws a jab when Unbreakable was well out of range. Day scores with a nice strike. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Day tries a head kick but it misses.
Unbreakable misses with a takedown attempt - Day sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Unbreakable ducks under a wild hook from Day. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Unbreakable dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Unbreakable lands with a shot to the body. Day tries to land a front kick but Unbreakable steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Nice cross by Day. Unbreakable throws a sloppy head kick and Day moves out of range easily. A momentary lapse in concentration from Day enables Unbreakable to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Day manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Day keeping full guard, as Unbreakable tries to pass. Unbreakable loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Unbreakable trying to control but Day is working from the bottom. Day has his hands on Unbreakable's head, controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Unbreakable throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Unbreakable throws an elbow that misses. Day uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Unbreakable's guard. Nice move by Day! Unbreakable looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Unbreakable tries to land a sweep but no joy. Day has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Unbreakable is looking to sinch up a triangle. Day throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Unbreakable's body to avoid the submission. Unbreakable has instead reached around Day's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Unbreakable arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jon Unbreakable! Jon Unbreakable is the new lightweight champion! Jon Unbreakable decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
