Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jay Fatts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Solomon Zook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fatts comes to the cage accompanied by Hit Em Up by Tupac. Zook has chosen God's Gonna Cut You Down as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Fatts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Solomon Zook! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fatts swinging wildly here.
Zook throws a leg kick and Fatts counters with a nice double leg into guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Fatts won't allow Zook to get back to his feet. Fatts postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Zook is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fatts, into his guard. Fatts is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Zook defends well. Zook wanted to stand there but Fatts had control of the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Zook decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Zook wants to clinch up but Fatts keeps it at a distance. Fatts on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Zook. Zook obviously looking to wear him down.
Fatts slips under a jab. Fatts uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Zook. Zook pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fatts takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Fatts closes the distance and clinches up with Zook, looking for a takedown. Fatts pushes Zook against the cage but Zook circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fatts drives through with a takedown into Zook's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. This has been an exciting period of action! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Zook wants to stand up but Fatts is controlling him. Fatts looking to pass the guard. Zook wriggles free and stands up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Zook fails with an attempt to clinch.

Fatts punishes Zook's body with a nice straight punch. Zook wants to clinch. Solomon Zook is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Zook rushes Fatts and presses him up against the cage. Fatts is trying to break the clinch but Zook is controlling him. Zook comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Jay Fatts has been cut. Fatts takes an elbow to the temple. Zook misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Fatts.
Zook lands a nice knee to the body. Fatts has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Zook is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Zook lands an elbow inside. Fatts blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Zook comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Zook lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Fatts takes an elbow to the forehead. Fatts is trying to push Zook away but Zook has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fatts is trying to pull guard but Zook has him pressed against the cage. Zook scores a nice knee to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zook comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Zook lands a left hand that snaps the head of Fatts backwards. Zook prevents Fatts from breaking the clinch. Zook prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Fatts. That's going to take a lot out of him. A knee to the head by Zook.

Fatts gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Zook is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Fatts trying to control the position from guard on top but Zook is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Zook wants to stand up but Fatts is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fatts stands and throws Zook's legs to the side, diving into side control. Fatts throwing shots but missing, from side control. Fatts scoring with punches and elbows. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fatts is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Zook stops Fatts from passing to mount. Jay Fatts overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fatts lands a nice forearm strike. Zook is not content to let Fatts control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zook defending against the ground and pound. Fatts trying to control the action but Zook is working from the bottom. Zook is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fatts thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jay Fatts will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jay Fatts's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Zook lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Zook. Zook tries a head kick but it misses.
Fatts scores with a jab to the body. Zook lands a lovely overhand right. Solomon Zook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fatts swings for the body but Zook moves out of range.
Fatts fails with the takedown. Fatts blocks a jab. Zook instigates a clinch. Fatts blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Fatts lands with a short shot to the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fatts is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Zook breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fatts closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Fatts is trying to work for a kimura but Zook is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fatts trying to advance position but Zook counters by regaining guard. Fatts missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Zook keeping moving, preventing Fatts from controlling successfully. Zook wants to stand but Fatts is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fatts is looking to work some ground and pound but Zook has wrist control. Fatts with a flurry of punches that miss. Fatts advances position into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zook wants to get back to his feet but Fatts drags him back down. Fatts fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fatts working the ground and pound but Zook is defending the strikes. Fatts misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Fatts is trying to ground and pound but Zook uses the momentary lack of control by Fatts to regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fatts thows a huge punch but Zook dodges it nicely.
Fatts wants to control but Zook is keeping him busy. Fatts sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Zook defending well though. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fatts is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Zook to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Fatts throws an elbow that misses. Zook uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fatts's guard. Nice move by Zook!
And that's the end of the fight! Jay Fatts showed his dominance in that final round. I think Fatts has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
