Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thompson Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damocles Zamolxis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zamolxis throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Oliveira tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Zamolxis is in Oliveira's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Oliveira wants to control the position but Zamolxis says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Oliveira is refusing to be controlled, as Zamolxis sits in half guard.

Zamolxis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Oliveira, pushing him back against the cage.

Zamolxis is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Oliveira is keeping busy.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Zamolxis misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Oliveira.
Zamolxis keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Oliveira's efforts to push away.
Oliveira is trying to pull guard but Zamolxis has him pressed against the cage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Oliveira is looking to break free of the clinch but Zamolxis has double underhooks.
Zamolxis lands a left hand that snaps the head of Oliveira backwards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Zamolxis lands a really nice looking cross but Oliveira seems unphased.
Zamolxis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Oliveira swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Oliveira shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zamolxis as he avoids it easily.
Zamolxis throws a combination. Oliveira tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Oliveira throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zamolxis's waist but Zamolxis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Oliveira off to one side.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zamolxis wants to take a breather but Oliveira is having none of it.

Zamolxis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Oliveira with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Zamolxis looking to improve position, pressing down on Oliveira's thigh with his hand. Oliveira seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Zamolxis paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Zamolxis's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Oliveira picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
