Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Keita Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shields comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Last Resort - Papa Roach kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Keita Aoki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki shoots in for a double leg but Shields sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Shields throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Shields throws a jab but it's blocked by Aoki.
Shields thows a body shot but no joy.
Shields misses with a hook. Aoki ducked under it nicely.
Aoki keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Shields.
Shields lands with a right hand.
A slow jab from Shields misses its intended target.
Aoki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Shields throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shields thows a body shot but no joy.

and Shields counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Aoki takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Keita Aoki has been cut.
Aoki has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Shields finds it's way round the side to connect with Aoki's head.
Shields has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Aoki takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Aoki is rocked!
Shields lands a hook that stumbles Aoki back into the cage. Shields follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Aoki to the canvas! Shields pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Aoki has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
