The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Boon counters with a left and a right that stings Gracie.
Boon tries to bum rush Gracie with a series of wild strikes but Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gracie scores with a takedown into Boon's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Boon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gracie is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boon is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Gracie has an Americana. Boon didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gracie is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gracie hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
