Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gouki Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Appllo Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gouki Sakuraba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Appllo Cage!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sakuraba throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cage looks to land a left hand but Sakuraba moved out of range nicely.
Sakuraba tries a low kick but Cage avoids it.
Cage fails to land the takedown.
Sakuraba tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cage takes the fight into the clinch.
Cage throws a knee to the head but misses.
Cage is looking for a takedown.
Sakuraba wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cage has him pressed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cage tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sakuraba just stands there and leans against the cage.
Gouki Sakuraba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Appllo Cage.
Cage is trying to pull guard but Sakuraba has him pressed against the cage.
Sakuraba pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sakuraba misses with a few strikes there.
Sakuraba ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sakuraba scores with a jab. Cage acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
It looks like Appllo Cage has been cut.
Sakuraba tries to bum rush Cage with a series of wild strikes but Cage uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cage has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cage works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Cage trying to control but Sakuraba is working from the bottom.
Cage wants to pass the guard but Sakuraba is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cage controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Appllo Cage hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Sakuraba paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Cage misses with a double jab.
Cage is looking to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sakuraba walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Cage checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Cage tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sakuraba sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cage somewhat.
Sakuraba drops Cage with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Cage looks back up at him and smiles so Sakuraba waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Cage is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sloppy strikes from Sakuraba. Those never looked like landing.
Cage is still on wobbly legs! Can Sakuraba finish him?
Cage shoots in looking for a takedown but Sakuraba manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cage's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Cage seems to have recovered his senses.
Cage looks gassed!
Cage moves into range and clinches up with Sakuraba.
Cage taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Sakuraba manages to break the clinch.
Cage shoots in but no luck this time.
Sakuraba lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cage at a distance.
Appllo Cage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sakuraba fails to land with a series of punches.
Cage avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sakuraba lands a big right hand that sends Cage crashing to the mat! Sakuraba stays standing though and waves Cage back to his feet!
Sakuraba lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Cage out cold! Cage is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Gouki Sakuraba!
