Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Duds! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Dontas! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duds closes the distance and clinches. Duds lands a right hand that snaps the head of Dontas backwards. Dontas drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Duds working some nice short punches in the clinch. Come on Duds - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Duds lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Duds is struggling to control the position. Duds lands with a light punch inside. Duds pushes Dontas back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Duds gets underhooks to prevent Dontas's takedown attempt.
Duds gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Dontas.
John Duds has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eduardo Dontas. Duds gets underhooks to prevent Dontas's takedown attempt.
Dontas's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Duds is pressed up against the cage. Dontas has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Duds down to the mat. Duds avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Duds has Dontas up against the cage in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Duds lands a nice uppercut. Dontas should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Dontas on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Dontas is working for takedown but Duds is calmly controlling the position for now. Dontas has Duds pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Duds manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Dontas looks gassed! Duds lands an elbow inside. Duds lands with a short head shot on the inside. Duds comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Eduardo Dontas has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Duds pressing his opponent against the cage. Dontas is looking for a takedown. Duds lands with a left to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duds comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. A quick uppercut on the inside from Duds. Duds stalls. Duds lands a shoulder strike.
Dontas is rocked! Duds creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Dontas's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Dontas drops to his knees and Duds pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
