Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyed looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Martinos misses with a takedown attempt
and Kyed counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kyed misses with a series of wild punches.
Kyed misses with a two punch combination.
Kyed throws a leg kick but Martinos sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Kyed clinches with his opponent.
Kyed breaks the clinch.
Martinos with a lazy takedown attempt
and Kyed decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Martinos's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Martinos is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kyed defends well.
Kyed gets to his feet. Martinos looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Martinos takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Martinos dives in and scores a takedown into Kyed's guard.
Martinos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kyed on the ground.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kyed is on top in guard.
Kyed working some strikes from top position.
Kyed advances to half guard.
Martinos is breathing heavily.
Martinos won't allow Kyed to pass to mount.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kyed sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Martinos defending well though.
Kyed has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kyed is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Martinos doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kyed.
Martinos won't allow Kyed to pass to mount.
Martinos could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kyed is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kyed lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kyed in particular looking to stall.

Kyed is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Martinos defends it well.
Kyed passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Martinos!

Kyed has isolated one of Martinos's arms. Martinos looking to fight him off but Kyed twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
