Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mika Huima!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huima looks for a takedown but Simson sprawls well.
Simson misses with a takedown attempt
and Huima counters with a single leg into guard. Simson didn't expect that.
Huima won't allow Simson to sweep him here.

Simson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Huima doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Huima manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Huima drops back looking for a leg! Simson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Simson manages to kick Huima off! Huima jumps back into Simson's guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Simson.
Huima closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Simson to the mat! Simson manages to get full guard.

Huima should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Huima is in close to Simson's body, working some short punches and elbows.
