The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wood was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Wood is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Riddle to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Riddle shrugs it off.

Riddle sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Wood is working for a kimura but Riddle is defending it quite comfortably.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
