Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ferdinand Marcos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micheal Morton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ferdinand Marcos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ferdinand Marcos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Micheal Morton! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marcos slips a jab and a cross from Morton.
Marcos lands with a kick to the temple. Morton shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Micheal Morton has been cut. Morton walks into a stiff left hand from Marcos. Morton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marcos manages to avoid it. A chopping leg kick lands by Marcos. Marcos throws a leg kick which misses Morton's front leg but catches the back leg as Morton tries to avoid it. Marcos looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Marcos trying to control the position from guard on top but Morton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marcos wants to pass the guard but Morton is keeping the position. Marcos postures up in Morton's guard and throws a big left but Morton blocks it. Marcos trying to control but Morton is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marcos advances to half guard. Marcos is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Morton defends it well. Marcos missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Marcos seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Morton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Marcos stops Morton from getting back to his feet.
Marcos tries to pass to full mount but Morton defends it. Morton pushes Marcos off looking to stand but Marcos dives back in and keeps control.
Marcos is nestled in close to Morton, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Morton is refusing to be controlled, as Marcos sits in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Morton throws a right hand that Marcos ducks under and follows up with a left that Marcos also avoids with ease. Marcos scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Morton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Marcos. Morton throws a combination that misses and Marcos counters with a stiff right hand. Morton just misses with a punch to the body.

and Marcos counters with a low kick, right behind Morton 's knee. Morton looks gassed! Marcos slips a straight right by Morton. Marcos connects with a crisp jab. Micheal Morton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Morton misses with a looping right. Morton misses with a shot to the body and Marcos counters with a nice uppercut. Marcos drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marcos trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Morton is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Marcos is controlling him. Marcos advances to half guard. Marcos is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Morton doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Marcos. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Marcos missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Marcos prevents Morton from standing back up.
Marcos is looking for a kimura but Morton is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Marcos to get the leverage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Morton wants to get back to his feet.
Marcos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Marcos is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Marcos not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Marcos wants to work for an arm triangle but Morton is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Marcos wants to control but Morton is keeping him busy. Morton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marcos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Marcos is really struggling to control Morton but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Marcos tries to pass to full mount but Morton defends it. Marcos trying to control from half guard but Morton is working away. Morton is trying to stand up here but Marcos is controlling him well. Morton is defending against the submission attempts here by Marcos.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Morton misses with a combination
and Marcos counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Morton! Marcos thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Morton is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Marcos wants to finish this one by submission but Morton is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Marcos. Morton is squirming around, avoiding Marcos's attempts to control the action. Marcos has hold of Morton's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Morton manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Morton is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Marcos is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Morton has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Morton! Marcos throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Marcos wants to sweep but no luck. Morton gets to his feet - Marcos follows without any prompting. Morton throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Marcos counters with a series of strikes. Morton will be more careful next time no doubt. Morton stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Marcos. Morton swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Morton fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Marcos fails in his attempt to clinch. Marcos thows a body shot but no joy. Morton throws a left and a right that both miss
and Marcos counters with a right hand to the body. Morton throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Marcos counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Marcos sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Morton's guard.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Morton is trying to stand back up but Marcos is controlling him
Marcos thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Morton to regain full guard. Morton wants to stand up but Marcos is controlling him. Marcos wants to control from the top but Morton keeps moving. Marcos looking to pass the guard. Morton wants to stand and escape but Marcos is having none of it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Morton lands a nice hook to Marcos's body. Marcos takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Morton falls off balance throwing a combination
and Marcos counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Morton throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Marcos counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Morton keeping full guard, as Marcos tries to pass. Marcos is looking to advance position but Morton has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Marcos tries to hold on but Morton pushes him away. Marcos is trying to escape the mount.
Morton is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ferdinand Marcos dominated that round. The cut man is working on Micheal Morton's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Marcos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Morton is fending him off so far but Marcos persists. Nope, Morton circles away and we're back to standing. A choreographed right hand from Marcos misses the target. Marcos shoots in and drives through. Morton sprawls well. Morton pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Morton throws a series of punches but Marcos avoids them all with ease. Morton throws a combination that misses and Marcos makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Morton is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Marcos rather than just go for the knockout. Morton throws a lazy body kick and Marcos counters with a body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Morton stuffs the takedown attempt from Marcos. Marcos gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ferdinand Marcos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Marcos connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Marcos is pressing down on Morton's thigh, looking to free his foot. Morton is holding on for now. Marcos stops Morton from getting back to his feet.

Marcos lands a hook to the side of the head. Morton wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Morton has had enough of the clinch but Marcos keeps him there for the moment. Marcos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

enabling Marcos to counter with a crisp jab. Marcos avoids the body shot from Morton.
Marcos has Morton up against the ropes in a clinch.
Morton is trying to break the clinch but Marcos has him pressed against the ropes.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Marcos breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Marcos closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Marcos lands in his opponent's guard. Morton wants to stand and escape but Marcos is having none of it. Marcos pushing down on Morton's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Marcos is trying for a kimura here. Morton looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Marcos wins by kimura!
