Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Grapow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Sentipiel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Grapow might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles. Ray Sentipiel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Sentipiel there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Sentipiel moves into the clinch.

Sentipiel has had enough of the clinch but Grapow keeps him there for the moment.
Sentipiel has a couple of punches blocked by Grapow.
Sentipiel lands an uppercut.
Sentipiel is fighting off a takedown attempt but Grapow is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sentipiel to the mat. Sentipiel regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Grapow drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sentipiel dives on top into guard.

Ray Sentipiel has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
The crowd cheers as Sentipiel lands an impressive looking overhand right. Grapow doesn't seem phased though.

and Sentipiel counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ray Sentipiel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sentipiel fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Grapow, pushing him back against the cage.

Sentipiel swings wildly with an uppercut but Grapow uses good head movement to avoid it.

Sentipiel lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
