Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Bones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earl Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Earl Bird enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Bones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Earl Bird!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bird defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bones.

Bones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bird looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bones wants to control but Bird is keeping him busy.
Bones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bird explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Bird shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bones manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Bird throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bones works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Bird trying to control the position from guard on top but Bones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bones can't keep his opponent in guard - Bird advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bird is trying to work for a kimura but Bones is defending well.
Bones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Bones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Bird is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Bird trying to control the action but Bones is working from the bottom.
Bird throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Bones wants to improve his position but Bird is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bird is trying to work for a kimura but Bones is defending well.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bird missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Bird is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bones is just riding it out for now. Bird eventually gives up the hold.
Bird prevents Bones from standing back up.
Bones is breathing heavily.

Bird has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bird pulls his head out easily.
Bird not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Bones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bird on the ground.

Bird is working for a submission of some sort.

Bird is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bones has managed to free his arm - good work.
Bird is looking to take a break and control but Bones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bones misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bird looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Bird is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Earl Bird dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Bird is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bones's half guard.
Bird stops Bones from getting back to his feet.

Bird seems to be working for a kimura but Bones defends the submission attempt.
Bones is trying to stand.

Bones pushes Bird off looking to stand but Bird dives back in and keeps control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bird maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Bones could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Bird has cracked it and Bones is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Bird!
