Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tony swings and misses with a hook to the body.
James Tony seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Staal misses with a wild body shot.
Staal blocks a head kick by Tony.
Tony throws a head kick that misses.
Staal with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Staal throws a hook but Tony avoids it easily.
Tony takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Staal looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tony pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tony swings for the body but Staal moves out of range.
Staal moves away from the strike by Tony.
Staal cracks Tony with an open hand slap.
A head kick by Tony misses
and Staal counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tony thinking.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Staal tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tony paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A nice leg kick lands there from Staal.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Staal, as that shot connected.
Tony looks gassed!
Tony on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Staal. Staal obviously looking to wear him down.
Tony shoots in and drives through. Staal sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A low kick from Tony is predictable there
and Staal counters with an inside leg kick.
Staal lands a big head kick that sends Tony tumbling to the mat! Staal takes a step backwards and waves Tony back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Tony is rocked!
It looks like James Tony has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Staal lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Staal!
