The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papadopoulos leaves Ahmed with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ahmed fails with a takedown attempt.
Ahmed shoots in looking for a takedown but Papadopoulos manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ahmed's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ghiorghos Papadopoulos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mohamed Ahmed.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Papadopoulos.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Papadopoulos lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt Ahmed! Papadopoulos senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put Ahmed out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!

A less than humble Ghiorghos Papadopoulos misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
