Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raul Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Timer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duke kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Jumping Jack Flash. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raul Duke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Timer! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Timer as Duke shoots in. Duke moves in looking to clinch but Timer pushes him off. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Timer. Timer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Duke loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Duke throws a big right hand that misses. Timer wants to sweep but no luck. Duke postures up in Timer's guard and throws a big left but Timer blocks it. Timer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Duke with a flurry of punches that miss. Duke postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A head kick misses from Duke.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duke shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Timer's guard. Timer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Duke. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Duke working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Timer is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Timer lands with a kick to the temple. Duke shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Timer looks gassed! Nice sprawl there from Duke as Timer shoots in. Duke moves into the clinch successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duke tries to break the clinch but Timer is controlling the position. Timer is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Duke pulls him back up using the underhooks. Raul Duke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Timer. Duke breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Duke fails in his attempt to clinch. Duke shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Timer as he avoids it easily. Duke tries to clinch but Timer is having none of it. Timer avoids the head kick by Duke.

Duke shoots in for a takedown but Timer shows good takedown defense. Timer stuffs the takedown. Timer has a takedown stuffed. Duke tries to clinch up. Timer wants to clinch and Duke counters with a stiff right hand. The fight moves into the clinch position. Timer jumps guard but Duke stands there with Timer around his waist. Timer gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Timer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Timer looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Timer thows a huge punch but Duke dodges it nicely.
Timer is looking to take a break and control but Duke is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Duke moves into full guard.
Timer throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Timer stops Duke from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Duke has a closed guard, preventing Timer from standing up. Timer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Timer is looking to stand up but Duke won't let him.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Duke avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Duke closes the distance looking to clinch and Timer counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duke gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Timer counters with an outside leg kick.
Timer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Timer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Timer fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Timer with a couple of short strikes. Duke is in all sorts of trouble here.
Duke has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Duke wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Timer lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Duke can't escape the position.
Duke throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but John Timer will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Duke shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Duke showed some decent athleticism there. Duke stands up and beckons Timer to join him on the feet. Timer clinches. Duke tightens his grip and picks Timer up, before dumping him to the ground. Timer manages to land in guard. Duke stands up and waves to Timer to follow him. Duke throws a lazy head kick and Timer counters with a head kick. That will keep Duke thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Nice sprawl there from Duke as Timer shoots in. Duke shoots for a double leg takedown but Timer sprawls well. He's pushed Duke's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Raul Duke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Duke scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Duke decides to stand up, so the ref orders Timer to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Timer shoots in looking for a takedown. Duke tries to sprawl out of it but Timer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Duke manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Timer closes the distance and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duke is looking to break free of the clinch but Timer has double underhooks. Timer lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Timer blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Duke tries to score a body lock takedown but Timer shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Timer looking for a takedown. Raul Duke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Timer. Duke stops a takedown attempt from Timer.

Timer is pressed up against the cage. Duke has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Timer down to the mat. Timer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Timer clinches with his opponent.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Duke shoots in but no luck this time. A head kick misses from Timer. Raul Duke is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Timer shoots for a takedown but Duke saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Timer rushes Duke and presses him up against the cage. Timer tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Duke wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Timer has him pressed against the cage. Timer taking a breather. Timer is pressed up against the cage. Duke has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Timer down to the mat. Timer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Timer has his takedown stuffed and Duke counters with a nice double leg into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Timer pushes Duke off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Timer gets caught flat footed, as Duke shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Duke trying to control but Timer is working from the bottom. Duke is looking to work some ground and pound but Timer has wrist control. Duke is pushing down on Timer's leg trying to pass to half guard. Timer is fighting to maintain full guard but Duke has managed to sneak the leg through. Duke trying to pass the guard but Timer defending well. Duke stands up from half guard. Duke has managed to clinch.
Duke lands an elbow that stopped Timer in his tracks for a moment. Duke wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Duke misses with an elbow over the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Timer manages to break the clinch.
Timer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Duke keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Timer's head. Timer looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Timer is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Duke looking for a sweep. Not yet Duke, not yet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Timer wants to stand but Duke has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Raul Duke overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Raul Duke dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Duke is rocked! Duke shoots in and drives through. Timer sprawls well. Oh Duke is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raul Duke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Timer scores a takedown into full mount! Timer loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Duke scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Timer land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Timer stands and salutes the crowd.
