The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sagat drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zed wants to stand and escape but Sagat is having none of it.

Sagat is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Zed is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Zed wants to stand up but Sagat is controlling him.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Sagat turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sagat manages to end up in side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sagat has hold of Zed's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Zed seems comfortable defending it but Sagat has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Zed is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Zed is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Sagat couldn't care less - he's delighted!
